Alberta CARE Programs

Alberta CARE establishes and operates regional programs such as:

• Electronic Waste (eWaste) Recycling Program

Alberta CARE has entered into an agreement with GEEP (Global Electric and Electronic Processing Inc.) to coordinate and divert e-waste from Alberta landfills and take advantage of the economics. ARMA endorsed our business partnership and Alberta CARE has been designated as a collector of e-waste. This initiative will eliminate hazardous waste from Alberta landfills.

• Regional Scrap Metals Recycling Program

Alberta CARE has created an Approved Recyclers list for its Regional Scrap Metals Recycling Program. Approved Recyclers apply to Alberta CARE to participate in the program.

• Regional Concrete & Asphalt Crushing Program

Alberta CARE has created an Approved Recyclers list for its Regional Concrete & Asphalt Crushing Program. Approved Recyclers apply to Alberta CARE to participate in the program.

• Wood Waste Grinding Program

Alberta CARE has created an Approved Recyclers list for its Wood Waste Grinding Program. Approved Recyclers apply to Alberta CARE to participate in the program.

Additional Regional Programs

Alberta CARE is in the process of developing other regional programs such as:

• Fluorescent Tube Recycling

  To coordinate and collect fluorescent tubing.

• Paper Fibre Recycling

  To coordinate and collect office paper, cardboard, and newspaper.
